Work will begin on US-6 in Waverly
June 10, 2026 (Lincoln, Neb.) — Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, June 22, on U.S.
Highway 6 (US-6) at N 141st Street in Waverly (reference post 325.75 to reference post 326.00),
according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Watts Electric Company, of Waverly, is the contractor for this project. Work includes electrical conduit
installation, installation of a vehicle detector and an advanced warning for the traffic signal. Work will
be within the shoulder of westbound US-6 and 141st Street. Traffic will be maintained with shoulder
closures. Anticipated project completion is Aug. 2026.
Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down.
