Golf Cart, ATV, UTV License
If you plan to operate a Golf Cart, ATV, or UTV within City limits, you MUST first license your vehicle at the City Office.
✅ HOW TO REGISTER:
- Visit the Waverly City Office 14130 Lancashire in person.
- Bring a paper copy of your current proof of insurance.
- Receive your license plate and current sticker.
- Fee: $25 (initial, prorated) | $10 annual renewal (due in January).
- ⚠️You may NOT drive until your vehicle is licensed and your sticker is current.
📋 Key Rules:
- Drivers Must:
- Be a Waverly resident.
- Hold a valid Operator's license.
- Carry proof of insurance and driver's license while operating the vehicle.
- Your Vehicle Must:
- Have 4 wheels.
- Be equipped with a safety flag.
- Day-glow in color, triangular shape.
- At least 30 sq. inches.
- Mounted 5 ft. from ground.
- Extends 6 in. above the highest point of the vehicle.
- Use lights and turn signals if equipped.
- Operating Hours:⏰Sunrise to Sunset Only.
Where You CAN and CANNOT Drive:
- ✅ ALLOWED:
- Residential Streets and Driveways
- ❌ NOT ALLOWED:
- Sidewalks, Parks, or on Grass
- Highways or any street with more than 2 lanes
- Highway 6, Amberly Road, Cannongate Road driving is not permitted - even if speed limit is 25 mph during school zone hours.
- 🔁 You may only cross Highway 6 at the traffic light on 141st Street.
Important Reminders:
- Always keep your insurance current.
- Notify the City Office with updated insurance if it expires after receiving your sticker.
- Failure to comply with ordinances my result in a citation.
