Update July 7, 2026: Lancaster County Bridge Repair Project in Waverly, NE has been completed. Canongate Road reopening Tuesday, July 7. Lancaster County Engineer Pam Dingman will be on site for the reopening at 1:00 p.m. today, Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

Bridge repair work is scheduled to begin June 1, with an estimated completion date by the end of July. During this time, Cannongate Road Bridge (the overpass) will be closed from Jamestown St to Castlewood St to allow Lancaster County crews to complete necessary bridge maintenance.
Please use the posted detour route and plan accordingly during the closure. Thank you for your patience and cooperation while these improvements are completed.
