We can't say thank you enough for all of the community support for the success and growth of our Santa Express event. What started out three years ago as a way to showcase our recent delivered engine with the arrival of Santa visit to Waverly has grown exponentially.
We extend a great Thank You to all below!
Certified Piedmontese for the burgers and hotdogs, Hy-Vee for the buns, chips, (more hotdogs for a future event), The WAVE with the larger facility to support the growth of the event.
Unforgettable Events by DJ Kaz was back for the third year supporting this event with great music, photos with Santa, and announced the parade entries.
Patrick Tammi Peterman led the charge for the first Christmas Parade. This was an awesome parade that took a lot of effort to drive a successful parade and community support from all the entries.
Southeast Fire & Rescue Department for their assistance during the event with personnel and apparatus to respond to emergencies in our district, and to those that helped setup and assisted on site with the event.
We believe we accounted for everyone, our apologies if we inadvertently excluded you, but all the sponsors that helped support our raffle prizes, donations to support the event, and decorations for the event. They are listed in the attached photo.
Lastly, we want to thank your volunteers at Waverly Fire/Rescue who helped out with the event. These events have many components that take plannning and the necessary steps to complete them to drive the event to success. Many volunteer's spouses, children, and other family members were involved both directly and indirectly through event planning, event support, and managing the household as your volunteers were focused on the event. It goes to say at the firehouse, we're all family, and we can't wait to see what next year brings!
