Annual Fourth of July Parade

Celebrate with Us at the Annual 4th of July Parade! Get ready to show your patriotic spirit and join the fun! Meet us at Waverly Intermediate School (WIS) at 10:00 p.m. to take part in this cherished community tradition. Parade entry is open to all—no preregistration required! Entry forms will be available on-site, or feel free to print one in advance and bring it along. The parade will follow its classic route, just like in years past. Come one, come all—and let’s make this Independence Day unforgettable!

Fourth of July Events
Waverly’s beloved Fourth of July celebration is back and bigger than ever, and you’re invited to be part of the festivities!
Start your morning with a hearty community breakfast, watch the adorable kids parade, watch history unfold at a 50-year-in-the-making time capsule opening, and grab a lawn chair along the route for our cherished Chamber Parade—a Waverly tradition. Dive into excitement—literally—with the annual Money Dive at 1:00 PM at the Aquatic Center!
This year, we have a vast array of activities right here in centralized Wayne Park, including yoga bright and early, an array of goodies at the vendor market, a chance to splash your favorite community leader at the dunk tank, meet some new friends for a classic game of BINGO, bring your bat and swing for the fences at the Home Run Derby, and much more!
Between watching the parade and taking part in the many activities, don't forget to fuel up mid-day at the many luncheons offered throughout the city, generously provided by local churches and organizations!
As the sun sets, gather with friends and family at Lawson Park for a spectacular fireworks finale - sponsored by Horizon Bank - that lights up the Waverly sky. Important Reminder: Sky Lanterns are PROHIBITED in Waverly—for everyone’s safety and enjoyment.
