The City of Waverly does its best to make sure that the city has plenty of open parks and available recreation areas. The city has three parks, the largest being Wayne Park. There are basketball courts, tennis courts, shelters for picnicking, and plenty of playground equipment for children. Also located at Wayne park, you will find the city swimming pool

*In the interest of public health and safety, and to slow the spread of COVID-19, the City of Waverly is canceling the 2020 Parks and Recreation Spring Soccer season.
Full refunds will be issued to all Spring Soccer participants.
- All online registrations will be credited back to your account within 10 business days.
- All registrations paid by check or cash will be refunded back in the form of a check to the address listed on the registration form. Refunds should be received by the end of April . Please contact us if you have not received a refund by May 1, 2020.
Coaches: Please return all player jerseys that were handed out at the coaches meetings by March 27, 2020. Jerseys can be dropped off at the city offices (14130 Lancashire St) M-F 8am-4:30pm.
Note: The City of Waverly is monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation. Information will be sent out to Waverly Parks and Recreation parents if blastball, tee ball, softball, and baseball leagues are suspended or cancelled.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is highly recommending that for the next 8 weeks, organizers cancel events that consist of 50 people or more.

SUMMER BALL GAME SCHEDULES
Baseball/Softball Coaches & Parents, As you may already know, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has requested for the next several weeks to limit group gatherings to 10 people or less. Also, the Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD) is restricting public gatherings until May 6, 2020.
As of March 30, 2020, the City of Waverly is continuing to suspend ALL practices and activities until May 6, 2020. This includes indoor and outdoor practices. These suspensions may be extended should conditions warrant. The welfare of participants and families is our top priority as we continue to monitor and assess the situation. Updates will be communicated via email and posted to the city website as necessary.
Note: The leagues are brainstorming a variety of scenarios if needed to salvage some of the season. More information will be communicated once they have a clearer picture.

Concussion Awarness in Youth Sports
- Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches and Parents
Before each season, all Coaches will be given a copy of CDC’s “Heads Up: Concussion in Youth Sports, A Fact Sheet for Coaches” document or a similar document provided by the City of Waverly’s Parks and Recreation Department.
Coaches, on their own time, will watch the educational video once every two years.
