A Brief History of the Waverly Fire Department
- The Waverly Fire Department was first organized in 1901.
- In 1931, the Fire Department first started contracting with the Rural Fire District.
- In 1979, the Fire Department purchased it’s first ambulance
- The Fire Department and the Rescue Squad merged in 2003
