Ag Land Owners Workshop
Waverly, NE – The City of Waverly and the University of Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County are hosting a workshop focused on Ag Land Best Management Practices (BMPs) on Thursday, March 5, 2020. The workshop will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Waverly Community Center, 11120 N. 141st Street in Waverly. Lunch will be provided.
The Ag Land BMP Workshop is aimed at helping local crop producers and landowners better understand BMPs to improve soil, protect groundwater, and improve a farm’s bottom line. The workshop will also focus on how to implement these BMPs and what cost-share programs are available.
All local farmers and landowners are encouraged to attend this informative workshop and learn more about BMPs from other producers and organizations such as Nebraska Extension, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), Lower Platte South Natural Resource District (NRD), local farmers, and many others.
A full agenda and registration information is available on the Lancaster County Extension website at https://lancaster.unl.edu/ag for those interested in attending the event. Organizers ask that all attendees register to ensure resource materials are available and for meal planning purposes.
