Snow Removal- Reminders 
- Please try to move your vehicles off the streets if possible until the city has finished plowing your street.
- It is Illegal to push or to blow snow from your driveway/sidewalks onto the city streets.
- Some of the snow from the street will be pushed into your driveway approach as snow from streets is pushed from the center to the curbs.
- Waverly has 60 lane miles of streets. Ex. (plowing a one lane road for 60 miles.)
- The entire city is plowed if 2” or more snowfall occurs. Generally the entire city is plowed in less than 4 hours.
- Sanding/Salting occurs on major roads first, and residential streets mainly at intersections.
Leaves, grass clippings and tree debris
- It is illegal to rake or blow leaves and grass clippings onto the city streets.
- Street sweeping is done on an as needed basis, generally 4 times per year.
- Tree debris can be taken to the city tree dump at 12800 N 148th , one mile north of N 148th and Waverly Road. The landfill is locked and a key can be obtained from the city office. Please pile the trees in the tree pile, not along the entrance road, and also lock the gate. (Note only for residents of the City of Waverly.)
- Christmas trees can be dropped off at the city shop at 11121 N 141, until February 1st.
