The City of Waverly offers various types of parks for its residents and guests to come out and enjoy. Some of the different park amenities include baseball and softball fields, walking trails, picnic shelters, grill pits, a pool, playgrounds, a disc golf course, and many other fun outdoor activities.

 

Wayne Park

Wayne Park is located on the south side of Waverly; there are several entrances on 143rd street. The main entrance is located on 140th street right off Highway 6. Wayne Park is the main recreational area of Waverly. It consists of the swimming pool, three Baseball/Softball diamonds, two tennis courts, a basketball court, a disc golf course, playground equipment, grills for cooking, and shelters for you picnicking needs.

Lawson Park (Lawson Park Brochure)

Lawson Park is a 37-acre complex that will consist of one High School/Legion baseball field, three multi-purpose baseball/softball fields, and two full size soccer fields. Along with the sports fields, Lawson Park will house a maintenance building, concession stand, picnic shelters, playgrounds, a walking trail, a parking lot, and an open 9-acre site for future development.

Lawson Park is located on 141st and Oldfield Road

Sharp Park

Sharp Park is a little known park located on N. 139th and Woodstock Blvd. Sharp Park is the smallest park in Waverly, consisting of playground equipment, Grills for cooking, and a shelter for your picnicking needs.
