Building Codes


Purpose

The main purpose of building codes is to insure a certain level of security. By regulating the minimum standard of different aspects of construction, the structure is likely to be much safer than it otherwise would have been.

 

Waverly’s Building Codes

Waverly has adopted a variety of building codes. The code books are listed in the Municipal Code, and are as follows:

  • 2012 International Plumbing Code
  • 2012 International Mechanical Code
  • 2012 International Fuel Gas Code
  • 2012 International Property maintenance Code

  • NFPA 30 Flammable & Combustible liquids
  • NFPA 58 Propane
